COMMUNITY ACTION
Urban Service Corps Members work full-time from October to mid-July. Corps Members work in pairs in one of two areas:

San Francisco Schools

San Francisco Community Agencies

Current and Previous Partner Sites

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

In trainings that occur twice a month, Corps Members develop professional skills related to their work, gain tools for personal development, and analyze key social issues. The training sessions incorporate retreats, service projects, team-building activities, workshops and discussions. Trainings provide an opportunity to reflect on Corps Member work and our role in the communities we serve. Reflection and community building are cornerstones of our program and ensure that members take with them a network of support and lifetime ethic of social change.

Workshops include:
- Project planning
– Diversity training
– Environmental justice
- "Days On" - Indigenous Peoples' Day,
Martin Luther King Day, Cesar Chavez Day
